Make a joyful noise to the Lord

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Let music lift our hearts and spirits.

Praise God and embrace the diversity of creation. Whether we play the sounds of the horn, trumpets, or cymbals, loud music on harps and lyres, help us find harmony in our different notes.

Worship the Lord with gladness. Bring us into Your presence singing. Our voices ring out, proclaiming that You are our God. You made us, and we are Your people. Keep us close to You and sooth us with Your lullaby of peace.

Compassionate God, You hear our laments, our verses of grief. Evening, morning and noon, when we cry out in anguish, You hear our voice. You comfort us in times of pain and uncertainty and quieten our distress.

Sing aloud to God our strength; raise a song, sound the tambourine. Support us when life becomes discordant. Sustain our tune and encourage our hearts to sing, even in the darkness.

May the word of Christ dwell in us richly, that through singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, we hear Your wisdom. Guide us as we join our voices in the chorus of life.

Give thanks, for the Lord is good; Your steadfast love endures forever. Sing to the Lord in praise.

Amen.
